Jenny Apostol is a writer, an Emmy Award-winning nonfiction television producer, and a Spanish to English literary translator. Her essays and poetry have been published or will soon appear in Kenyon Review, The Washington Post, Brevity, Cordella Press, Dorothy Parker's Ashes, Speculative Nonfiction, Creative Nonfiction’s "Sunday Short Reads," River Teeth Journal’s “Beautiful Things,” Blood Tree Literature, among other publications. She earned an MFA in creative writing from the Rainier Writing Workshop, at Pacific Lutheran University, and a B.A. from Amherst College. At present, Jenny is working on a lyric memoir.

In addition to her literary projects, Jenny is an experienced storyteller bringing diverse perspectives and approaches to documentary television. She worked for 24 amazing years as an executive producer for Nat Geo networks creating innovative, popular programs about science, exploration, and the natural world. 

Jenny lives outside of Washington D.C. with her husband, a variety of animals, and occasionally two adult children.
